Earlier this year, Joe and I had the privilege of attending Tony Perkins' renowned AlwaysOn Innovation Summit at Stanford University in San Jose, California. It proved to be an exhiliarating event, literally swarming with entrepreneurs and investors --- eager to share their ideas. In this podcast we present two conversations that were recorded between sessions while we sat outside soaking up the California sunshine. The first is with Gil Penchina CEO of Wikia followed by our conversation with Kate Edwards, CEO of CenterPost.

We know you’ll enjoy both of these conversations as you listen in on some of the excitement of the AlwaysOn summit.

Gil Penchina, an eight-year veteran of eBay, recently joined Wikia in the role CEO. At eBay Gil served in a number of executive positions, including regional VP roles in Europe and Asia and as General Manager in the US. A native of Amherst, Massachusetts, Penchina holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business.

Next Joe and I spoke with Kate Edwards who joined CenterPost Communications as CEO in June 2004. Kate has over 12 years of experience in software & information services holding senior roles in strategic planning, operations management, financial management and product management. Prior to joining CenterPost, Kate was the CFO and VP of Operations for BEZ Systems, a leader in performance management and capacity planning software for large data warehouse environments. Kate holds a bachelors in business administration, as well as BS degrees in economics and mathematics, from the University of Michigan. She is also a CPA.
